Somebody asked me to do a Bettie Page. I wasn't sure who she actually was, turns out she was some glamour model from the late fifties and now somewhat of a cult icon. So there you go! :)

Corel Painter X

*Edit*

Levels adjusted, now available as a print

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BETTIE PAGE!!!!

I have a drawing one of my students did for me framed in my house! :)

Wonderful job on this one! It's my favorite and I don't know if that's because I lover her so much or because you are steadily improving?!
:iconjimfiz:
lol, good ol' Bettie!

thanks
:iconjimfiz:
thanks

yes, she's quite cool.

was she like one of the first goths/punks type people or soemthing?
:icontanyarw:
No, she was just a rebel for her time because she often posed nude. She wasn't ashamed of her body and I think she's beautiful. We call her a pin up girl because soldiers during WWII would have posters of these nudes and "pin them up" to stare at and forget the troubles of the war, etc.
:iconjimfiz:
oh yeah, i think i've seen her painted on the side of old fighter planes and stuff

You did a great job! Yeah she was a little out there for the 50's, she was into the whole whips and chains. :)

she must have been quite controversial bak in the day.

That look she had seems to still be copied today by some
